
Stone food and clothes in afterlife

The ancient Egyptians believed stongly in afterlife. So it was necessary that they should have everything they could possibly need in their tombs: manufactured objects, clothes and food. The dead person’s relatives took care that nothing missed for thei loved one. The offers, anyway, didn’t have to be exclusively of royal objects. According to the belief that the representation of something was “that thing”, some steles, on which everything the dead person needed was represented, weere put in the sepulchrals.
