(1490 – 1436): he was the greatest pharaoh in Egypt after Ramsete II. Eclipsed in young age by his mother in law and his step-mother Hatshepsut, he remained alone on the throne and guided various victories military campaigns on the coast that included the present Israeli, Lebanon, Syria and Giordania (the Retenu). His victories against the Mitanni are famous. The people submitted, had to anyway pay tributes.
