Narmer
The
first pharaoh: around 3200 BC was Narmer, who would later take up the name Menes,
once he became a monarch.
He was king of the southern part of Egypt or Upper
Egypt, he conquered the northern part, or Lower Egypt.
Once Egypt was unified he
was the first one to wear the traditional headgear, a fusion of the “White
Crown” of Lower Egypt with the “Red Crown” of Upper Egypt.
We have a tablet
about him that celebrates his military triumph.
