Where is Cleopatra buried, the most famous queen of
Egypt?
Somewhere in Paris. At the beginning of the XIX century her mummy was discovered
in Alexandria in Egypt and transported to the French capital to enrich the
windows of the Louvre. In 1871, during the Prussian siege, as a precaution, it
was decided to move it in the cellars in the Bibliotheque Nationale. The damp
and cold place had a disastrous effect: the body went into decomposition and
there was nothing else to do but bury it. According to some, the royal mortal
remains were buried in the gardens of the Bibliotheque, according to others,
they were buried in clandestinity in the big Pere-Lachaise cemetery.
