| Brother (or son) and Chefren’s successor- the Hellenic name of the
Egyptian Menkaure- he was the fifth pharaoh of the IV dynasty and he reigned for
18 years over an always more prospering and expanding Egypt. There is only a little information about him, except that he was the third sovereign who wanted to build for himself a pyramid in Giza, beside the already existant other two. His funeral monument, the smallest of the three, is anyway the only one tha has kept intact three of those satellite pyramids, that had no ramp and the respective temple in the valley, destined normally to receive the mortal remains of the sovereign’s wives. One of them, the most eastern one, was probably assigned to queen Kharmer Nehty II, Micerino’s beloved wife.
