Kahum - City Map

This is a precise reconstruction of Kahun city, a small country wanted by Sesostri II a couple of kilometers far from his pyramid. It was divided in a worker section (1) and a residential section (2) for the prominent citizens. On the right (4), in the nobles’ section, there was the villa of which we have rebuilt a part.

We can notice its structure with terraces and many courts. In one of these an oven (5) is visible. On the lower part of the drawing of the villa we notice many columns: the ones on the left supported roofs, while the one on the right supported the ceiling of closed rooms.
