Nefertum Son of Ptah and Sekhmet, he belonged to the Memphis triad and his name nfr-tm means: “absolutely beautiful, perfect” or “the new apparition is perfect”.
God of immortality, he was pictured as a man wearing a lotus flower , the symbol of rebirth and regeneration, on his hair.
Moreover, he was the nature god and the symbol of the rising sun.

Originally Nefertem was the personification of the first lotus flower born from the primordial chaos.
