The Frescos

Imbalsamazione di Osiride

In a fresco found in a tomb in Deir el-Medineh, that goes back to the XIX dynasty, the goddess Isis and the God Anubi recompose and embalm Osiride’s body, who was killed and split apart by Seth. Thanks to the recomposing of the body, Osiride’s spirit survived and he became the king of the hells.

Pittura murale da un tempio di Tebe

This scene of a banquet is a detail of a wall painting from the temple in Tebe, and it goes back to 1400BC, at the epoch of the New Reign. The representation recalls a moment of court life; the set of figures all in profile, are typical of the most classic standards of Egyptian painting.
