CHAPTER XIII
I enter the Sky, similar to a Hawk.
I cross the heavenly regions, similar to a
phoenix.
The gods adore Ra and they prepare his ways.
In the present, I go ahead in peace, in the
beautiful Amenti.
Here I am on the shores of a pond
consecrated to Horus.
I keep his dogs on a leash.
May the way be clear for me!
May I cross it and be able to worship
Osiride, God of Eternal life!
Recite this incantation over a wreath of
ankham flowers and put on the dead person’s
right ear, recite it also over another
wreath wrapped in purple cloth on which, on
the day of the funeral, the dead person’s
name will be written.
