Chapter I

CHAPTER I

Here begin the Incantations that talk about the departing of the Soul toward the full Light of Day, his Resurrection in the Spirit, his Entrance and his Journeys in the Regions in the other world.
Here are the words to pronounce on the day of the Burial, in the moment in which, separated from the Body, the Soul enters in the worlds on the other side. Greetings, oh Osiride, Bull of Amenti! Here is Thoth, Prince of Eternity, who talks with my mouth!
In truth I am the great god that accompanies in his navigation the Heavenly Boat!
I arrive, in the present, to fight beside you, oh Osiride! Because I am one of the ancient divinities that at the time of the weighing of the words make Osiride triumphant over his enemies (…)
Oh you, divine Spirits, that let the perfect Souls enter Osiride’s sacrosanct home, let me walk beside you, I, perfect Soul!
Let me enter Osiride’s Sanctuary, so I can intend, as you intend, see as you see, stay as I like to, as you, standing or sitting!
Oh you who prepare offers to the perfect Souls in Osiride’s sacrosanct home, prepare consecrate offers to let my Soul live!
Oh you, divine spirits who open the way and remove the obstacles, Open up the way for my Soul, toward Osiride’s home!
May he enter it in complete safety!
May he exit it in peace!
May he not be rejected at his arrival and forced to back down on his way!
May he enter and exit it as he likes and may his Word of Power be victorious!
May his commands be carried out in Osiride’s home!
Oh you, divine Spirits, look: as you, he is sanctified.
As the Balance of Judgement has pronounced for him. Here I arrive to the Region
Of Truth-Justice.
As a living divinity I receive a crown; great is my splendor among the gods that surround me; because I am equal to them and their brother, at their side, I share their heavenly nourishment, while I listen to a voice who recites prayers (it’s my priest who on Earth before the coffin, is reciting them) Greetings, oh Osiride, God of Amenti!
Let me enter your Reign in peace!
May the Gods of the Holy Land receive me with exclamations of joy!
May they give me a place at their side!
May I meet Iside and Nephtys at the favorable moment!
May the good Being receive me favorably!
May I accompany Horus in the World of Ra-Stau and Osiride in Djedu!
May I make all the Metamorphosis possible and in all the Regions in the other world, according to the will of my Heart.
