Egypt: the ancient history

The origins of Ancient Egypt can’t be established with certainty. The results of the archaeological research let suppose that the first inhabitants of the valley of the Nile were influenced by the cultures of the near Orient. The historians have divided the history of Ancient Egypt, in three periods that correspond to three reigns (Ancient, Middle and New Reign) and in two intermediary periods, followed by the so-called low-epoch and by the Greek-roman age. But it’s necessary to say that all the proposed dates, mostly the ones concerning the most ancient phases, should be cautiously considered and thought more “of tendency”. In fact the Egyptians counted the years, not from an only reference point, but from the first year of reign of each pharaoh.
