Amenemope governed until 984 BC. The relationship with Psusennes I is not
clare, in fact Amenemope’s mummy was found with bracelets that had Psusennes’s I
name on, that indicate the sovereign’s membership to the tanita family, but it’s
unknown if he was son or nephew. The historian Manetone points out the presence
of a king called Neferkare Amenemnesut between these two sovereigns, but this
reign has not yet been documented. His name is associated to Psusennes I and
according to other historians it would indicate a co-governor nominated by
Psusennes I himself
