Amenemhat IV
| Amenemhat IV governed for about ten years. He could enjoy the peace conquered by his ancestor Sesostri III and kept by his father Amenemhat III, so he dedicated himself to finish the monuments started by his parent, like the temple in Medinet Ma’adi. He also increased the expeditions to the stone mines in Tura, in Wadi Hammamat and in Hassuan. Probably, with Amenemhat, in the last years even the queen Sobekneferu, governed Egypt. |
